Watch out!

Hello, folks!  I'm back and I finally decided to keep this blog up and running again... watch out for a special Christmas present this week!

Sorry Folks

I posted my 2010 Third Quarter Mix the other day and unfortunately it received a complaint from DMCA to have it removed from this blog. As I wrote before, I would adhere to any requests from the owners of the work or authorities if asked to remove any  contents of this blog. Thus, I'm not posting it anymore. I'm sorry if I made this decision folks but rules are rules.

Update...

I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been quite occupied this past few weeks and couldn't fit blogging in my schedule. But watch this space for the 3rd installment of my 2010 Quarter Mixes this week. Thank you  for visiting my humble music blog .

One year after...

check this blog for two back to back MJ mixes to remember his legacy this friday.

RETRObution vol. 4

I've been busy last week thus I'm behind with my posts. Nevertheless, I managed to squeeze the 4th volume of my RETRObution series in my spare time.  And a bit of trivia as well, the mix from "Push It" up to "I Go Crazy" is the exact copy of a portion of the mixtape I bought in 1988...my way of reliving the past. I just hope my brother has still kept the tape in its storage box back home. The link is down below.

RETRObution Time

When I started this music blog a few months back... I did write that I'll be posting mixes I compiled over the past years. And I have finally decided to start posting my RETRObution series these coming weeks. The mixes are composed of some of the best dance tracks of our lives. The songs I selected are guaranteed floor fillers. And the mixes were done in the traditional beat mixing technique...no fancy sampling or effects were used to bring back the era when dj's used two turntables to mix tracks. So watch this space again.

Watch out

Watch this blog for two back to back contemporary mixes I made last year.I'll definitely post them this weekend.

Update

For those interested or have not noticed, I have actually updated the link for Girls Gone Bad On The Dance Floor minimix last week.

A quick note to all

I'm sorry folks if the links for my 2nd Quarter Mix and Girls Gone Bad On The Dance Floor are not working. They have been blocked by 4shared. I guess the mixes were too hot to handle that they have to be deleted...oh well.

Also, I've been slightly busy this week thus I am lagging behind finishing the full 2010 Second Quarter Mix...hopefully I'd finish it soon.

One consolation though is that we're enjoying a warm spring here in beautiful England.

Just a quick note...

Hello again, peeps! Just FYI, I made up some sort of rules and disclaimers with regards to the stuff I post here that I hope you’ll follow and understand.

1. I will only post mixes. I will not be posting full versions of songs in this blog. If you like the songs and artists featured here, I suggest that you buy their albums. Please support the artists featured , without their talents we won’t have good music to listen to.

2. All songs featured are for promotional use only. If in case I am asked to remove a particular song by the artist/s or any other music affiliates, I’d be glad to do so without hesitation.

3. I am not a professional DJ .It is only a hobby and a passion I have since I was young. I am still learning the craft of dj-ing , both in the digital and manual aspects of the craft. Comments are very welcome, whether positive or negative. I’ll take them as constructively as possible.

4. I will try not to concentrate on a particular genre of music. My music taste is diverse. Although most of the initial mixes I will upload will feature the music of my generation,I will try to feature other music genre here. I hate people who discriminate other people’s music preference. I believe that each genre are connected to one another due to the evolution of music styles over the years.

5. Trivia and bits of information will be shared , if possible, for each mix. I will try to include why I have come up with a particular mix and why I chose such songs to be included.

6. Each mix featured is uploaded in a single mp3 track and in 320 kbps format (the best audio quality for mp3) . This is to avoid skips/short gaps in between tracks.

7. Requests are welcome. I will try to grant each request as soon as possible but bear in mind that I have a full time job and I'm a family man as well so I only have time to do these mixes during my spare time. Plus being seriously ill before has made me tire easily that I’d rather take time off from my hobbies than trigger my dodgy immune system to play up again.

8. Enough said . If I come up with other rules/disclaimers, I’ll just add it at a later date.

I hope you'll enjoy your visit.

2010 First Quarter Mix - TEST POST

this is only a test post. full description of the mix and tracklisting will follow soon.

Welcome

Thank you for visiting my music blog. This blog is actually a copy of my first blog that I set up a few months back in my other social networking profile. I thought of transfering my posts here to let my friends in facebook experience my passion for music. In the coming days, I'll be sharing with you all the mixes that I made these past few years.Prior to that, I'll be posting as well the disclaimer I made in my old blog that I think everyone should be made aware of when accessing my mixes. There could be a chance that I'll make this blog for invitation only, but I've not decided on that yet.So watch this space for now.
